Director’s Note

Wow! I can’t believe that we’re here after four years of different iterations, dancers, theaters, and hundreds of studio hours.

IMPULSE CONTROL is a gut wrenching, dramatic telling of someone who hits rock bottom and has to find a way out. Characters are crafted to be relatable so that you, the audience, feel your own story can be reflected in the work, regardless of life experience.

I want to thank all the dancers that have been part of this journey over the years. Special shoutout to Jay who has kept the ship afloat and running. I also want to thank this cast especially, as they stepped up and made this more than just my vision–it’s theirs as well.

I hope you enjoy some cake, and you see something tonight that speaks to you.

And you enjoy my outfit.
